Deposit and Cancellation Policy

We hire professional musicians to instruct and we count on a minimum number of participants to make it financially viable, while trying to keep the cost as affordable as possible.

Therefore, please read and agree to the following terms:

GENERAL WORKSHOPS: Deposits are not refundable unless we cannot place you in a workshop. In some instances the deposit is equal to the full fee for the workshop and is due up front to hold your place. If we are able to fill your spot, we will refund the portion of the fee we were able to replace.

BAND PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP: You are assigned to a band after you have paid a deposit and attended a Welcome Party & Jam. Only serious and committed applicants should attend the Jam. We are happy to put you in touch with former participants or to answer your questions ourselves. Probably the best way to see if this workshop is for you is to attend one of the TTS Freight shows. Cancellations seriously inconvenience the other participants, and can upset the financial, musical and organizational balance that helps us create, for instance, 3 bands instead of 2.

  1. Only those applicants whose deposits we have received may attend the Band Performance Workshop Welcome Party & Jam. If you cancel after attending the Jam, we will keep your deposit.
  2. If you attend the Jam and we are unable to place you in a band, we will refund your deposit and any additional fees you have paid.
  3. The balance of the workshop fee is due by the first session. If you cancel after the first session, we will be forced to scurry around and find someone to replace you. For that reason, we will keep your entire fee and use it to provide a discount to someone to take your place.
  4. If you cancel after the first session and we are able to replace you, we will refund you the portion of the fee we were able to replace.

Thank you for understanding. If we did not have these policies in place, we just simply couldn’t do these workshops.
