My phone rang and (since I was in the car), a voice came through my radio that sounded eerily familiar. Too familiar – is this a joke? No it was truly Garrison Keillor – from NPR’s Prairie Home Companion, asking me if The Henriettas would like to perform live on his show, in Seattle, April 3d. (My mind kept thinking, is this April Fool’s?) So Cary Sheldon and I are on our way to Seattle to yodel, cluck and cackle our way onstage with Mr. Keillor.

Gee, I had some other news, but it just seems so paltry after this…think I’ll save it for May!
